Typical Day Itinerary

Here is a rough guide to what to expect on a typical day on a Kruger Safari:


05:00 / 05:30

Early Start to ensure you get the best wildlife viewing.


Elephants at Kruger Park

05:30 / 06:00

You will meet up with your ranger and tracker ready to go out exploring the Kruger Park. The best time for viewing is in the cool of the day. Before you head of enjoy tea or coffee often accompanied with a small snack of rusks.


09:30

With a good early morning game drives under your belt you will start to head back to the lodge and tuck into a hearty breakfast. After breakfast you can kick back and relax. Some lodges do offer a walk around the lodge, but this varies from lodge to lodge and dependant on the time of year.


13:00

Enjoy a light lunch in the surrounds of the lodge. After Lunch you can take time to relax by the pool, read a book or take a well deserved nap.


Kruger wildlife

16:00

Meet for afternoon tea before heading out for the rest of the afternoon and early evening to experience the Kruger National Park as the sun slips away and night descends over the Kruger Park.


16:30

You can enjoy a sun downer drink before continuing your viewing with the aid of the ranger and tracker who will use a bright spot light to help pick out the nocturnal animals and evening hunters such as Lion and Leopard.


From 19h30

Dependant on your guide and what sitings you are on you will head back to the lodge satisfied from a good days game viewing, in time to freshen up for before a drink and dinner.


20:00

Enjoy dinner at the lodge, there are a variety of options such as a Boma dinner and each day will bring a different treat. Enjoy recounting stories of your day on safari in the Kruger Park. When you are ready, retire to bed and enjoy and drift away to the sounds of the African night.
